Breakfast was incredible and clearly made with a lot of care, and our host Andrew gave excellent service. We had a really pleasant stay at Ferndale Lodge. The house is in good condition, well equipped, and full of lovely details. It’s just a couple of minutes’ walk down the hill to Torquay centre and the harbour. I’d recommend it for a visit to Torquay.

I spent a week here and really enjoyed it. Nights were very quiet, and the place is just a short walk from the beach, harbour and shops. It’s also close to the city centre and supermarkets. My room had everything I could ask for, including a hairdryer, and the bed was very comfortable. There was a wide choice at breakfast. I totally recommend it.

Penny was so friendly, and my grandson loved playing with her dog. He also loved the soft pillows! The room was very clean, with an en-suite, comfortable beds and hot water. We enjoyed the breakfasts, especially the full English, which I recommend. Andrew was always around during the day if we needed help. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the harbour and beach.

Andrew and Penny made us feel very welcome and were so friendly. The hotel was beautiful, clean and tidy, with a lovely selection at breakfast. We were pleased with our room upgrade and really impressed by the room. We couldn’t see the sea from it, but we still really liked the view.

The rooms were beautiful, clean and tidy, and it’s well located for walking into town and to the harbour or Babbacombe. Andrew was a perfect host and made a special effort to have breakfast and soya milk for me. I really appreciated it. He also suggested a beautiful walk in Babbacombe. Highly recommend.
