Lugger Hotel

We hadn’t planned to stop for lunch, but it turned into a real treat. The team were very welcoming and dog-friendly, and from our table we could see the rough winter sea. The fish and chips were superb, the best we’ve had so far. Please don’t change a thing!

The peaceful setting made for a lovely, relaxing stay. Our room was lovely, with some nice touches, and there’s a lounge for reading and unwinding, plus a terrace when the weather’s good. The staff were kind and attentive and made us feel welcome. We’ll come back. Thank you!

We only managed one night because work cut our visit short, which was our only regret. The place is in a safe, peaceful, quiet setting at a working harbour, with free parking for guests, and it’s pet-friendly too. Our meal was first class, served beautifully in a spotless dining room. The chef had clearly taken care with the preparation and cooking, and it came through in the taste. A special thanks to the staff, especially Alison, who couldn’t have been nicer and was happy to help with anything. It’s a lovely little place, and we’ll definitely stay longer next time.

It’s exactly the sort of place you’d want for a stay in a picturesque fishing village, and we had a great weekend. From check-in through to checkout, the service was exceptional and made it easy to relax and feel at home. Thanks to all the staff at The Lugger.
