Harvey was excellent with us, friendly, professional and attentive, and the food arrived lovely and hot. We had a lovely afternoon for my husband's birthday. There was a good menu with plenty of choice, the champagne was chilled and the other drinks were very good. Thanks to everyone who made it so enjoyable. Harvey's a credit to the hotel, and my husband had a super time.

Horsted is BACK baby! The makeover has made it lighter, brighter and more modern while keeping the period features. The food was excellent, maybe even better than it used to be, and the staff were fabulous, attentive, well-presented and knowledgeable. They even noticed that the English Breakfast Tea in our room was too floral for our taste and sent up some standard proper brew bags. Nothing was too much trouble. We'd been coming here since our 2007 wedding, after first visiting in 2006 to look at it as a venue. Over the years we'd had two Christmases, birthdays, family meals and our 10th anniversary there. When we returned after lockdown, we were disappointed: the break hadn't been kind to the place, the staff were all new and the food had slipped. We'd followed the new team's work on Facebook and noticed some exciting changes, so came back. Before that post-lockdown visit, we'd recommend Horsted without hesitation, but afterwards we couldn't. Now we will again. As will we be...! 10/10.

Dinner is adults only, and there's a pianist on weekends. It's a stylish place to recharge your batteries. Could be perfect for a stay when visiting Glyndebourne for the opera.

Horsted Place is where we plan to stay whenever we go to Glyndebourne. Returning after the opera to our spacious, individually designed suite, with its beautiful furnishings and sweeping views over the parkland, felt like a real treat. The service was warm, polished and attentive, and the staff seemed to anticipate what we needed. Its quiet grounds made a peaceful country bolthole, while still being close enough to Glyndebourne for an easy transfer and away from the summer crowds. The seasonal food in the elegant dining room was superb, whether for a pre-opera dinner or a late supper, and the 2 AA Rosette dining felt like a destination in itself, on a par with a West End establishment. The Gothic Revival mansion, designed by Augustus Pugin, is steeped in heritage and has stunning architecture. From arrival, the tranquil grounds and luxurious feel made a wonderful start and finish to our evening at the Glyndebourne Opera House. For us, it's the only place to stay. Highly recommended.
