For a four-star hotel, the room was nice enough, with clean bedsheets and a fairly comfortable bed. There was a cute little table under the TV, plus easy-to-reach sockets. The TV itself was good quality, though it had few channels. The hotel is in a strange spot and the views are average. The rooms were clean-ish, and the bathroom was okay, but the shampoo was empty and it took an hour for them to refill it. The ceiling is VERY shallow, so we could hear the people above us easily. There was a nice supply of tea and coffee things. The room lived up to its four-star expectation, but the location and service could be better.

The room was clean and comfortable, and from check-in to check-out we couldn’t fault anything. We ate in the restaurant, where Brendon was patient and gave us helpful advice about our meals. The service and meal were excellent, and the ice cream sundaes were so good. Thank you, Sam and Brendon, for being friendly and welcoming. We haven’t tried breakfast through the meal deal yet.

The staff were lovely and very friendly, and the food was good. We had breakfast both Saturday and Sunday, with the usual Premier options of hot or continental. Sunday was a lot busier, and you have to book in for meals, whether breakfast or dinner. The poached eggs we ordered were cooked to perfection! We stay here when we visit my dad in Ulverston. It’s a bit out of the way, but still in Ulverston, so it works perfectly for us. There’s lots of parking, some of it covered. It’s always busy here. I’m not sure if Ulverston has a hidden secret, but the car park was packed even on a cold, wet weekend in February. The rooms are standard for Premier. We’ll definitely return.

I stayed here for three nights and had breakfast every day. Now I have severe food poisoning, can’t stop throwing up, and have the other usual symptoms. I feel terrible. The way they make the food is awful, putting eggs in a big oven next to hash browns and god knows what. I’m shocked at how poor this Premier Inn was. I’ve seen another review mention food poisoning, so I know exactly where it came from. Please take my advice and avoid this Premier Inn if you don’t want food poisoning. The location is horrible, and some rooms look out onto a farm market with tons of smelly sheep and cows. Stay at an independent inn or somewhere else.

The room was excellent and really clean, with everything provided. There’s a nice restaurant, but you need to book ahead. It was REALLY busy when we arrived, with reception handling multiple bookings, yet the service was efficient and friendly. Parking was difficult because of the sheer volume of cars and work vans, but we did manage to find a space. A great location and a perfect stop on our tour of Ulverston and the Lakes.
