The only hiccup was finding Bridgewood Manor. Our satnav sent us to the middle of Walderslade woods roundabout, about a two-minute drive from the hotel, so I hope management can fix the website location. Once we arrived, though, we had a great time. I took my wife there for her birthday and she loved every minute. The staff were excellent, breakfast was spot on, and the spa treatment was well worth the money. We’d definitely go back.

The room was spacious, with a huge bed and a very clean, well-presented bathroom. Finding a plug socket was a bit of a hunt, though there were some available. We had a lovely, peaceful two-night stay. The hotel is laid out well, the pool was lovely, and the staff were great throughout. The restaurant staff were especially kind when our food took a while, and politely took a few drinks off the bill. My partner and I are thinking of coming back.

Food has been the highlight on both of my visits to Bridgewood Manor Hotel. I’ve never stayed in the rooms, but I’ve been to the spa a couple of times. The massages are nice and the treatment rooms are relaxing, though the treatments themselves don’t really stand out. The spa is decent, but the water could be warmer for that proper switch-off feeling. On one visit, the Mrs and I spent a few hours chatting in the lobby. A regular guest with a dog was friendly, but very chatty and didn’t seem to notice we were trying to do our own thing. The staff clearly know her well, and she even brought them Christmas presents by name. It might be worth keeping an eye on that sort of interaction, since it could make more introverted guests uncomfortable. The hotel is easy to reach at the top of Bluebell Hill and feels nicely tucked away. It would also help if it were easier to reach the spa by phone, or if calls could be redirected. I’d probably come again for the food and a light spa visit, though not for a full-on zen day.

Summer was especially welcoming and helpful, and the staff were all lovely. We had a lovely spa day trip, including the light lunch that came with our stay. Thank you!

The massage from Miszey was wonderful. She was knowledgeable and professional, and I left feeling incredible. The treatment room music was distracting, though. The speakers sounded as if the bass was broken, so the relaxing music came through fuzzy. Lunch was lovely too, with a decent-sized sandwich and a nice cake for dessert. A relaxing day out with a friend. We didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t rate the room.
