The location is fantastic, close to the coastal path, and the front desk staff were friendly and did their best to help. I booked the day before arriving, so it seems I was left with limited choices; the other photos and reviews suggest there are better rooms. Still, what I paid didn't match what I got in room 15, one of the double rooms. The WiFi didn't reach, the shower door was broken, and the water pressure was so low that very little water came out. There was mold in the bathroom and on the bedroom windows, chipped paint on the walls, and a worker's ladder outside the window. I needed WiFi for work, so staff checked whether I could move, but the three other rooms available seemed worse. I appreciated them trying.

We were a short walk from the cove, about five minutes, and really enjoyed our first stay here in July. The staff were lovely, and the room was very clean, with tea and coffee facilities. Our en suite had a bath as well as a shower, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. They cleaned and tidied the room every day. A 10/10 for us, and we'll definitely visit again.

We'd happily come back. The rooms are a good size and the hotel was lovely and clean, with helpful, friendly staff. It's in a great spot, with countryside views and a view down to the sea.

The service was warm and welcoming the whole time, and everyone was extremely helpful. Thanks to Trevor, Scott and all! I didn't spend much time at the hotel, but it's very handy for lots of walking routes and beaches, with rooms looking out over the cove and hills.

Good value for money, and dog friendly too. The rooms were clean and cosy with a lovely sea view, and the staff were amazing. Great hotel.
