Mr Nalin at the front desk made our anniversary stay especially memorable. He was warm and welcoming, gave us helpful advice on getting around London safely, and even arranged for a bottle of wine to be sent to our room. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary, and really appreciated the gesture. The hotel is lovely, well equipped, and handy for exploring the city. We had an excellent stay and would happily come back when we're in London. Thank you from Mr and Mrs Ricarte, New Jersey, USA.

The room was the letdown, especially for the price. It felt dated and out of step with the rest of the hotel, and the bathroom looked like it belonged in the 1980s. The heater fan roared all night, so we switched it off and bundled up. We could also hear the very creaky floor above as our upstairs neighbours moved around all night. There was a lot we liked: the location was fabulous, and the exterior, lobby, and shared areas were beautiful. The water stations on every floor were a welcome touch. We had three delicious meals at Boyd´s, with top notch food and service. It's a fabulous hotel, but the rooms felt very overpriced. We'll stay somewhere else on our next trip.

We'd gladly stay at The Grand at Trafalgar Square again. The room was clean, comfortable, and quieter than you'd expect in such a central spot, with London attractions just steps away. Both the front desk and back office staff were consistently kind and helpful, and made us feel cared for. Breakfast on the weekend was the weak point. Staff seemed short on energy, tables were left uncleared even after they passed them several times, and guests ended up clearing them. Cups ran out 90 minutes into service; the juice, bread, and cold cuts were gone too. The ham that appeared one day wasn't quite 4-star quality. The hotel itself is great, just don't count on breakfast.

The staff were friendly and took time to help whenever we asked, and the location made it easy to get around. Trafalgar Square, the national gallery, and Charing Cross tube stop are nearby; we also walked to the Thames for views of the London Eye and Big Ben. Parliament, Canada House, and restaurants at a range of prices were an easy stroll, as was Covent Garden with its pubs, cafes, restaurants, and shops. Our family of two parents and a college student son had a queen room with a kitchenette. A divider separated the queen bed from the sofa bed, which was already made up when we arrived. The mini kitchen had an espresso machine with pods, more available on request, plus a kettle and coffee, milk, tea, and sweeteners. The spacious bathroom had full size toiletries, which the hotel said helped avoid the environmental impact of small bottles. We also liked the first floor communal living room, with coffee, reading materials, and plenty of space to relax. Our whole family recommends the hotel.

The location is perfect, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Rooms are spacious, and there's a lounge with coffee and books where you can work. The room was decent, though the carpets, some furniture, and the windows could use maintenance or replacement.
