King William Rooms

The sticky beef with noodles was the best part of our stay. The beef was tender, and the peppers and spring onions were cooked just right. A smiling chef brought it over, too. The pub had a lovely atmosphere and the staff made us feel welcome. Our room was basic but spotless; we could hear a squeaky bed in the neighbouring room, though that could be sorted. We stayed one night and would stay again.

We really enjoyed lunch at the king William, and Lee, the manager, was extremely helpful. Lee See welcomed us and let us choose our table, then took our drinks order and brought menus. The pub was surprisingly quiet, with only a handful of other people there. The food was excellent: two of us had the well-balanced cheese and onion pie with gravy and vegetables, though we chose chips instead of mash. The other meals were just as filling and enjoyable. It’s a Robinson's pub with the sort of menu you’d expect, and it seems to have changed a lot over the last couple of months. They’re trying to bring in new customers with quiz nights and other Monday evening activities. We’ll be back. It’s one to look out for in Wilmslow.

Lee , the manager, was welcoming and friendly, and the service was hard to fault. We had a lovely evening meal at the King William, with delicious food. It was our first visit, but we’ll be back!
