We especially enjoyed the balcony decking outside our room, and the relaxed breakfast was a lovely unhurried start to the day. Our room at Glencree had everything we could need. We stayed on 2nd Jan, and found it a great base for walking up to Windermere or down to Bowness. Highly recommended, and we can't wait to come back.

Ian was a brilliant host and nothing was too much trouble. The room was immaculate, and breakfast was tasty with a good-sized portion. It's right between bowness and windermere. We had a superb stay and will 100% revisit.

We loved the room with the hot tub overlooking the stream and forest. We even spotted an owl while we were in it. The host replied quickly and was so helpful, and breakfast and service were excellent. The room was very clean, with thoughtful extras that made it feel luxurious: quality tea and coffee, a mini fridge, nice toiletries, and a comfortable bed with clean, cozy bedding. It's conveniently located a short walk from lake Windermere. The price was very reasonable, and we'll definitely be back.

Ian was so helpful and made sure we were comfortable throughout, going above and beyond with his hospitality. The room was spotless and the atmosphere welcoming. We had a wonderful stay from start to finish and will definitely return.

Room 6 was cozy and clean, with a really nice view from the window. The owner was warm and friendly, and breakfast was well prepared. Check-in and check-out were both super easy and smooth. We had a wonderful stay with friends, and it was a great way to start our Lake District trip.
