Castle Windsor Hotel

The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was quite nice. Staff were friendly too. You’re right on the high street, close to the castle, shops and restaurants. My only small gripe was that the air in the room felt very dry overnight. Nothing terrible, though a little more humidity would’ve been nice.

We found the staff attentive, welcoming and professional throughout. The room had plenty of space and was carefully furnished, with a king-size bed and soft, high-quality pillows that made for a really relaxing stay. The rates were very reasonable for what we got, far beyond what we expected. We’ll choose this hotel again when we’re back in Windsor.

The room even had a little Christmas tree and several festive surprises, including one for our daughter. She didn’t want to leave! We felt at home almost as soon as we arrived, and the staff were especially lovely and looked after us so well. We came for Christmas and would happily recommend staying here.

The breakfast buffet was a real highlight, and it was complimentary. There was a wide choice: juices and fruit-infused water, cereal with milk, fresh fruit, mini plain and chocolate croissants, baguettes and sliced bread, jams, butter, cucumber and tomato, sliced meats, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, roasted tomatoes and scrambled eggs. A pot of coffee or tea was brought to the table, and the wait staff said we could ask for eggs fried, poached, boiled or another way at no extra charge. The hotel had a quaint feel and five-star service and atmosphere. The layout made good use of the space without feeling cramped. The one drawback was waiting for hot water, particularly at the sink, though the shower took a while too. Once it came through, it was very hot.
