We slept really well in this lovely, comfortable room. It was clean, had a beautiful bathroom, and felt like great value. There’s a full-size fridge, fans for cooling or warmth, fresh towels, and shower gel, shampoo and hand wash. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided too. The Co-op is right across from the house, and we were lucky enough to see the King’s horses and riders pass by. We’ll definitely use charles house again.

The room was spacious, clean and nicely heated. There’s local parking, and it’s close to everything you might need. I’d book it again.

Getting around was easy, with the river just a 3-minute walk away and the town and Windsor Castle about 5-6 minutes on foot. The station is only 4-5 minutes away, which made the trip back into London simple. Our spacious suite also had a little courtyard, a fridge and ice box, and some nice free amenities. It was warm and cosy, and the digital entry codes they sent before arrival made access hassle-free. I had a great stay and would book again if I return to Windsor.

The road noise was horrendous, and the front door slamming was just as bad. The central location also didn’t feel like somewhere I’d be comfortable walking at night. We were told there was parking, but it cost £20 and was up the road and across the street, which was a real hassle with all our luggage. When I called to ask about it, nobody answered; my WhatsApp message following their instructions seemed to be blocked. We ended up saving the $20 parking and booking into a hotel instead. The rooms were very dated, the beds small, and the carpet looked worn and probably wasn’t very clean. The pictures seem deceiving, as if they were taken 20 years ago. We spent two weeks in the UK and stayed in several lovely places. This wasn’t one of them. I can’t understand how it gets 5 stars.
