Toby and Chantal were such down-to-earth, happy people at the oxbo and loft bar/restaurant. Laura looked after us beautifully in the executive lounge and kept our drinks topped up. At the front desk, Cara, Emma, Phoebe, Adnan, and everyone else were great too. The rooms are pristine and cleaned to a very high standard, and we always get the best allocation. Paul Smith has taken such good care of us, making sure every night here has been perfect, as have our travels with Hilton and beyond.

Our room was great, and the vip lounge had good service with a nice choice of food and drinks. Breakfast the next morning, Sunday, was a different story. At 8:30 the area wasn’t busy, but people were looking around with empty plates. I went to see what was happening in the kitchen. Only two people were preparing food in the open kitchen, working slowly and chatting to each other with their backs to us. The trays were empty and people were queuing with plates, waiting for food. It was still like that at 8:37. It looked like a charity kitchen serving homeless people in a squalid suburb, yet we’re diamond members at the top of a Hilton hotel skyscraper with a wonderful view. We ordered two Mediterranean omelet. They took literally 36 minutes to arrive, and when we tasted them they were cold and had a weird taste. We left right away. I don’t know if the problem was the management team or staff shortages, but it was a horrendous experience. If we come back, I’ll make a video to show what I mean and send an open complaint straight to Hilton’s CEO in the UK.

The rooms have thoughtful touches I appreciated, like working double usb charging plugs on both sides of the bed, an electric all-in-one kettle, and a generous, excellent tea selection. They’re modern and well laid out, generally spacious, with comfortable beds and a clean, minimalist, almost Scandinavian feel. Sound insulation is good for somewhere so central, though rooms can run too warm and the air conditioning doesn’t always cope, especially on warmer or busier days. The hotel is right in the town centre at Victoria Square, a short walk from Woking train station, so it’s convenient for London and nearby attractions such as Mercedes‑Benz World, Brooklands Museum, LEGOLAND, and Thorpe Park. Onsite self-parking is a big plus in this area, but it costs extra and isn’t cheap, so factor it into the stay. Breakfast is pricey if it’s not part of the rate, so I didn’t try it. The new building makes a strong first impression, with a stylish lobby and public areas, corridors, and rooms that are generally clean and well kept. It feels like a contemporary Hilton and more like a city-break place than a dull commuter-town stopover. Staff are mostly friendly and welcoming. At their best, they’re engaged and keen to help, though some don’t engage and there can be a wait at busy times. With parking and breakfast charged separately, the premium-feeling stay doesn’t come cheap. It’s good, but not outstanding value. Still, it’s an easy recommendation as a modern, comfortable base in Woking if you’re fine with the extras. And the view from some rooms isn’t bad at all. For Woking.

Adnan deserves a special mention for being so helpful, professional, and attentive during my stay. The staff made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. My room was spotless, stylish, and comfortable, and there was a great variety of well-prepared food at breakfast. The hotel has a modern feel, and the service really made it stand out. I had an excellent stay at the Hilton Woking and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We booked through Booking.com at a reasonable price, and the rooms were clean, modern, and very comfortable. The breakfast had loads of choice, including gluten-free options, cereals, bacon, and eggs. The standout was the restaurant view on a sunny morning, with fog across Surrey and an almost 180-degree panorama. Later, we went to the Loft bar. The music was lively, the bar staff attentive, the atmosphere great, and the night view across Surrey was fantastic too. Hilton Woking was a pleasant surprise, right in the middle of Woking and around the corner from the station. Direct trains to London Waterloo take about 26 minutes, making London easy to reach without staying in the city. Parking is a little unusual but well organized. You drive into a multi-storey car park and go all the way up to the eighth floor, which feels a bit dizzying. There’s plenty of parking, you pay on exit, and the car park opens right into the hotel lobby, which is very convenient. I’d highly recommend Hilton Woking as a hotel and as an alternative to central London because of its location and easy train access.
