The Feathers

The rooms are beautiful, the decor stunning, and the food sensational. We stayed at The Feathers for Valentines this year, and the service was incredible from arrival right through to goodbye. The woman who welcomed us was wonderful and went out of her way to make sure we had a lovely time. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Love the Olivers x

The Nest, with head chef Luke, has become one of the best restaurants we’ve ever been to. We’ve watched it get better and better, and the food is outstanding, with impeccable service. The hotel has also changed completely over the past four years or so, growing from a lovely, slightly quirky place into a real gem. The rooms are gorgeous, comfortable, stylish, and very well equipped. The new bar and lounge are fabulous too. Service is super friendly, and everyone seems to enjoy working here. We’ve stayed several times and will keep coming back whenever we can. Outstanding hotel in the heart of Woodstock!

The breakfasts had plenty of variety, and lunch at the Aviary was fantastic. I had the chicken burger, cauliflower satay, and charred corn, all delicious. We spent our mini-moon at The Feathers, where our room was clean, fresh, modern, and cosy, with an excellent super king bed. The shared areas and bar were just right for relaxing, with comfy seats and woodburning stoves. The service deserves a special mention. Mitchell and Lilliana in the restaurant, and Mandy and Emily at the desk, were lovely. They put up with our chattiness, shared tips on what to see and where to go, and arranged a bottle of fizz for our room to celebrate. They all deserve recognition and pay rises. We’ll definitely be back.

I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. We booked with little or no research when we came to see a racehorse near Woodstock, and were blown away. The location was fabulous, and I couldn’t fault the room, bar, or dinner later that evening. It was a real bonus to the trip. Whether work brings me back or I return for a cheeky weekend away, thanks very much.
