Days Inn by Wyndham Abbeville

This place has really gone downhill. The staff were straight up rude, unhelpful, and didn't know what they were doing. It's overpriced and poorly maintained. Highly do not recommend.

Our weekend was a good one. The place was quiet and clean, and we slept great in the beds!

I look forward to staying there again when I visit Abbville. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Keep up the good work.

The room was so uncomfortable that I don't think I'd have rested at all if I hadn't been exhausted from riding all day from Houston on an out-of-state business trip. The pillows felt like bricks, and so did the mattress. There were sirens that woke us, though I don't blame the motel for that. At least at Hyatt House at the Galleria, where we'd just stayed, outside noise couldn't be heard. That five-star studio was all-inclusive and had key access to a private parking garage. It felt secure, quiet, and luxurious, almost like a private island despite the huge highway system and the city noise outside. The contrast with this place was rough. I'd taken a chance by ignoring my cousin-in-law's suggestion to stay at Motel 6, where we'd stayed before, and regretted it. The room needs work and new furniture. The chair and ottoman looked like they were from the 1970s, and the chair cushion had a huge dark round stain that looked like a biohazard. Cracks around the floor and walls need baseboards, too. Regular maintenance would make the place more inviting and show the owner takes pride in it. No one literally screamed at us, that's just a metaphor for how little pride and regard for customers the accommodations seemed to show. I've stayed at lots of beautifully maintained, cozy Days Inn by Wyndham hotels, so I expected better from the name. I chose this company because I didn't want a crack motel, but this place looked like one. It feels like they just want the money and use the name to get people to rent rooms. The neglect of basic maintenance reflects badly on the Day's Inn name. I won't book again until the place has been improved and made inviting and relaxing. Next time I pass through Abbeville, I'll book at Motel 6 or somewhere else unless I know this dump has been updated. I'd be embarrassed to run a service business like this. If they want my money again, they need to offer clean, maintained, comfortable rooms and show some pride in the motel.
