The pork shank was delicious, and I ate the carrots even though they were undercooked since raw carrots are still fine to eat. The risotto, though, was so underdone I sent it back and asked if anyone had tasted it. The replacement was still crunchy, but at least edible. I ordered the dish mainly because risotto is one of my favorite versatile foods, and after trying it in lots of places over the years, I’ve never had it served this undercooked. For an upscale restaurant with a reputation, I think the cook needs to step it up.

We met family for dinner on a Tuesday. We didn't stay at the hotel. It was busy, so I'd recommend booking a table. The room felt warm and cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was below par, about a 4 out of 10. I'd go for drinks at the bar and appetizers.

Cassandra kept us updated and helped us plan the day, and everyone from the bartenders and waiters to the chefs did a wonderful job. Altland House catered our wedding, and with so many people there, everything ran smoothly. We live a few hours away, but the staff made it easy, from food tastings and trying signature drinks to our casual visits to look at tablecloth colors. They were supportive and ready to help whenever we needed it. The food and drinks were incredible, and we were amazed by how well the day came together. Altland House is a great restaurant with a talented staff.

The Kodiak salmon was fantastic, and everything else was lovely too, from the bread through to dessert. We went last night for our anniversary. The staff were friendly and attentive.

We were crossing the country and heading somewhere else, but decided to stop here instead. The food was good, the drinks were gone, and the service was wonderful. It turned out to be a very good restaurant.
