We booked the inn for our wedding weekend at Aberdeen Manor because they recommended it and the location suited us. My bridal party and sister booked rooms too. The rooms were mostly clean, but some towels and bedding had old stains. Ours was the largest room, next to my sister’s, and it was far too easy to get between them. If a stranger had been in the adjoining room, that would’ve felt scary. A lot needs attention inside. The floors creaked badly, our fireplace didn’t work, and my sister’s tub and toilet were both out of order. Those are significant things, and they should have told us or offered a discount. The beds weren’t very comfortable, the decor was awful, and the ice machine was broken. My bridesmaid’s renovated room downstairs was much nicer than our rooms, 305 and 304. There wasn’t an employee around all night. When we couldn’t find anyone to help, we had no way to get ice. If you’re staying here for a wedding at Aberdeen Manor, be aware that things may be broken and you’ll have to call for help after hours. The weekend was especially disappointing for my guests and me.

For the price, it was okay, but there are definitely better places around. Things need repairs, including sinks and jacuzzis. The sink in our room dripped all night and drove us nuts. We were right above the bar, where people stayed up late and got really loud, especially when they were intoxicated. If you want quiet, this isn’t the place. I’ll find somewhere else next time. A friend who used to work there told me the owner can be difficult. She said the owner is sweet to guests but doesn’t keep employees up to date about work details and may yell when aggravated. I wouldn’t want to deal with that at work.

Staying here worked really well for my wedding at Aberdeen Manor. The location is convenient, there’s a decent amount of space, and vendors can get in early. My girls and I stayed the night before and got ready in the adjoining upstairs rooms. It also made a lovely backdrop for photos and video. Book early if you’re planning to stay. Continental breakfast is offered, though we brought our own food, so I can’t say how it was. The floors in our rooms were very dirty. My feet and socks turned black, and my white slippers, which I hadn’t worn before that morning, got filthy underneath. There was live music outside on Friday night, and we could hear it in the room while trying to sleep before the wedding. At least it didn’t go on all night.

The room was lovely and very clean, and I had a great meal with good service the night before Thanksgiving. But the next two days felt like being left at boarding school over winter break. There was nobody around. I’d even checked that continental breakfast would be available, but there was none. When I left Friday morning, nobody was there to take my key, so I called one of the numbers and left a voicemail. I never heard back. It was disappointing to expect a certain level of service based on what was advertised.

Barbara was fantastic, and the staff were the best part of our stay. The breakfast was underwhelming, mostly packaged food apart from the hard boiled eggs. In the breakfast area, the sink and ice maker weren’t working. The inn looks nice and was probably lovely years ago, but some maintenance and updates are needed. In our room, the tub jets, faucet, desk chair, and pillows all needed fixing or replacing.
