Budget Lodge Inn Abilene

For the $50 we paid, it was fine for one night. The room had a decent amount of space and, though a bit dated, that didn’t matter much in a pinch. It was a little dirty and buggy, which was my main complaint.

I wouldn't stay here. The TV only started working after they replaced the box, and the remote was plugged into a power strip that tripped if you tried to run the microwave, which only sort of worked anyway. The sink was out of order, the shower was disgusting and barely worked, and the toilet was filthy and clogged the first time we used it. The floors and bathroom were dirty, even though the beds had been made. Whether it's beside a bar or under new management doesn't matter. This place seems full of problems and, in my view, should be condemned until it’s brought back up to code.

We came to town for a nearby family reunion and brought our two dogs. The staff welcomed them with smiles and ear scratches, and the people we met, Shelley and Ben, were friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the price was decent. We had a really nice stay and felt the inn was a safe, clean place to sleep. I’d recommend it to anyone in the area. For the price and comfortable beds, along with the other amenities, it earns five stars from me.

The staff were nice enough, but this place was unbelievably grimy. Our room reeked of cigarette smoke, the bathroom door looked kicked in, and there were rings inside the toilet and tub. The sheets were stained, everything felt strangely sticky, and big black bugs were all over. It felt like a pit of despair, way below rock bottom. This is where tumors go to grow.
