The staff were fantastic and seemed to care that guests were enjoying their stay. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and quick to handle questions or requests with a great attitude, which makes a big difference. And the bartender’s habinero old fashioned, wow. My room was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable, with a great bed, lots of space to spread out, and awesome technology. The lobby felt cozy and festive for the holidays, with a beautiful tree, tasteful lights, and little touches that made it feel classy rather than cheesy. I wanted to stay longer, and I’d happily come back. The rooms, staff, and holiday decor all made it feel above the usual chain hotel experience.

We were a little worried about staying in a hotel with an infant for the first time, especially after having a baby this past weekend. Amy and the crew went the extra mile and made us feel so comfortable, like royalty, lol. After dinner, we came back to find a little teddy bear and blanket at our doorstep, with a handwritten congratulations. What amazing people and a great staff. Best hotel experience I’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be back.

The room was clean, the location was great, and everything else was very nice. The warm cookies were a treat. Parking was the one thing that cost it a star. You have to valet or pay, unless you’re lucky enough to find a spot on the street. The paid parking isn’t super close, so there’s a walk to get inside and up to your room, especially with a lot of luggage. And if you have certain things in your car, you might not want to valet it. I think parking could’ve been handled better, so I’m not thrilled with that part of the experience.

We’ve stayed here before and came back as Hilton members. The quiet room was nice, but the water never got really hot. After long hours of travel, I wanted dinner and then bed, but the restaurant had closed early because it wasn’t busy, so we had to DoorDash. There was no coffee in the morning because the machine was broken. Also, this is the fourth time Hilton hasn’t had conditioner in the shower dispenser.

I slept better than I have in weeks. The room was quiet, spotless, modern, and laid out thoughtfully, with a perfect bed and fresh, crisp linens. The staff made me feel welcome and looked after from the moment I walked into the DoubleTree in Abilene. Every interaction was warm, professional, and genuinely friendly. The hotel is beautiful and upscale without feeling pretentious, and the lobby and shared spaces are stylish and impeccably maintained. The location worked perfectly for me, with easy parking, nearby places within walking distance, and convenient access around town. This stay exceeded every expectation. I’ll absolutely come back the next time I’m in Abilene and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, high-quality hotel.
