The room was clean, smelled nice, and had fresh bedding. They’d vacuumed, and the bathroom, vanity, and tables were clean. It could use an update, though. Staff were pleasant and helpful, and let me check in early. Breakfast had plenty to choose from: three cereals, bagels, muffins, scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, waffles, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, plus condiments and utensils. Wi-Fi was available. The TV selection was okay, but I’m used to a smart TV and didn’t watch much.

After 12 hours on the road, we checked in hungry and tired, paid $130, and walked over to Whataburger. Back in the room, we found the shower-head bracket was broken, so one of us had to hold the shower head in one hand and wash with the other. The room was overdue for a remodel by about 15 years, and the old, worn carpet felt dirty underfoot. We were too exhausted to ask for another room. Breakfast was nearly all gone the next morning. The front desk woman said she was too busy to refill things, then seemed to make powdered eggs and put them out. Not a happy stay.

I lost more than $500 after booking three nights here. I drove over an hour and a half, checked in, and found the heater so loud I wouldn’t be able to sleep. I asked right away for another room, but was told none were available. I needed rest before starting a new job, so I said I couldn’t stay and requested a refund. They refused. I wouldn’t recommend this place and will report it to the Better Business Bureau.

The room was clean, and the AC kept it cool, but it was so loud I couldn’t sleep. When the AC went quiet for a moment, the freeway was all I could hear. If noise keeps you awake, this probably isn’t the place for you. The TV didn’t work, and the front desk never came to fix it after I called. Bring your own utensils for breakfast, too. Their plastic ones were so flimsy I had to eat my waffle with my fingers. I’ve been trying for a week to speak with a manager, but nobody has called me back.

We were locked into a non-refundable booking, so we stayed the full week, but I won’t come back. The room was dirty, with filthy walls, a musty smell, and very outdated furnishings. It didn’t feel worth what we paid. The front desk employee seemed unsure of what she was doing and had to call the “manager” even for check-in steps. I can’t recommend it.
