The room was lovely, clean, and comfortable, and the price was fine. I didn’t try breakfast, but I did use the clean laundry room. Paying by card there was more convenient than using coins. I might stay again, but sleep matters a lot to me as someone who only gets a hotel bed about once every two weeks and spends the rest of the time traveling in my vehicle. What really bothered me was being woken very early by the manager yelling at employees in the parking lot, right below my window. He said they had been “drinking on the job,” and loudly went on about how the convenience store across the street calls him when employees in the hotel’s shirts come in to buy beer. He said drinking on the clock, on his time, wouldn’t be tolerated and he’d fire them. I’m all for not letting employees drink on the job, but having that conversation in the parking lot under guest rooms was bizarre, especially through my sleepy fog.

The hotel was in a handy spot for getting to and from the sports complex, and it was very clean. The staff were friendly and knew their stuff. Our pool was sadly closed, but the owner also owns the hotel next door, and they let us use that pool. It made my kids’ evening! I’m grateful this hotel takes small dogs, including my 4 lb pomchi. I stayed at the Quality Inn next door last time, without my dog, and had a much better experience there. The breakfast was gross: runny eggs, undercooked bacon, and biscuits still frozen in the middle. I told the front desk, but she said it wasn’t her “area.” The room was disappointing too. It was small, the pillows were extremely flat and overused, and the temperature controls weren’t great. There was a gap under the door, letting hallway light shine in all night. We were in room 110, which had a door to the next room. It did lock, but there was a gap there too, and light came through from that room. The doors and walls were thin, so we heard every door slam, people talking, and kids yelling and running in the halls from about 5 am. For almost $400 for two nights, I was disappointed.

I’ll definitely stay here again on my frequent trips through the area. It’s an inexpensive stop just off Hway 81, with kind, helpful staff and a large, very clean room. We had to mop up some spilled water with a towel, and it came up spotless. Jen, the housekeeper on the first floor dog wing, was especially helpful and kind. The coffee was great, though we didn’t have breakfast.

I was pleased with most of my overnight stay, especially the breakfast. It was well stocked and had a good variety. The room was comfortable, and it was easy to adjust the temperature. I thought the bed was a bit lumpy, though my wife was very satisfied, and there were hairs in the shower that should have been cleaned up better. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

We needed a place for one night to break up a long drive, and this suited us well. Check-in was smooth, the room was tidy, and the bed was comfortable. It’s nothing fancy or memorable, but simple, clean, and secure, with everything working as it should. It’s dog-friendly too. A reliable, no-frills stop that won’t break the bank.
