It’s a well-kept older home, and the rooms are a good size with plenty of privacy. At breakfast, though, the hostess sat down and pushed early-morning conversation when I was just trying to eat and relax. I felt like I had to keep entertaining her.

We stopped briefly to rest on the way to Florida. The woman at the desk was pleasant and got us checked in quickly. Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. We’d be glad to return if we’re in the area again.

The back porch is a standout, looking over a beautiful pool and koi pond. It’s an early 20th-century English country-style home with a great range of themed rooms, just three blocks from town, the restaurants, and the Barter theatre.

Our hosts made us feel very welcome on our second honeymoon. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the amenities were awesome. A wonderful stay.
