Water was leaking all over the lobby in the rain, leaving huge puddles that could cause someone a serious injury. The place smells moldy, and the carpet needs a deep cleaning. The roof needs replacing. This hotel is nasty.

The place is filthy, smells strongly of cigarettes and marijuana, and most of the equipment doesn’t work. The few things that do barely function are in terrible shape. Even the lamp looked like something from a horror movie, full of holes with a note saying, “help, get out of here.” The refrigerator was dirty and didn’t work properly, and in winter I saw cockroaches crawling out from behind it and the microwave. Watch out for bedbugs and roaches, which seemed to be everywhere no matter the season. They sell the room as including breakfast, but there was no breakfast at all. Based on what the website advertises, this feels like a complete scam. This is not a safe place for children, I repeat, it is not safe at all!

The place is run down. There was blood all over the walls by the sink, an outlet caught fire and they did nothing about it, and the room ceiling looked like it was caving in. After I was moved to two different rooms, I tried to get a refund. The front desk worker, raujh (I think that’s how you spell his name), refused to give my money back and wouldn’t contact a manager when I asked. As I was leaving, police were escorting people out of the building. I highly don’t recommend it.

Avoid this hotel and the days in. The men’s bad attitudes toward women and the way they treat budget guests made for a terrible stay. I felt lied to and nickel-and-dimed. There are bugs: I saw at least two in the halls, and one crawled into the ice machine while I was using it. The rooms are clean, though. I checked out early because I wanted to get away. After locking myself out, I dropped my key in my car and just wanted to get my things from the room. I didn’t want another key, but they wouldn’t let me back in before checkout. They said key cards cost $5, and I had to run around looking for housekeeping. Another manager lectured me about the $5 keys too. I couldn’t wait to leave. The manager asked me to send him a listing for 1,000 keys at $100, and I promised I would. I’d already found several sites selling packs of 500 for $50 or less. My first room had broken AC but a good view. I had to give up the view because the temperature was over 82°. The manager also lied about why I was moved from room 512 to 517. He’d rented 512 to someone else and accidentally tried to give me that room. I remembered 512 and knocked by mistake, thinking housekeeping was still there, then realized it was a guest and felt embarrassed. He told me he’d switched me to give me a view. They used to serve breakfast, but are cutting costs and seem to target people watching their spending so they can exploit and mistreat them. They also charge a $50-per-day deposit. Avoid this poorly managed place.
