Washington Park Motel

I checked out two nights ago and was never told there’d be a $50 security deposit charged to my card. No one mentioned it at all, or that it would be held for five days. At every other hotel or motel I’ve stayed in, the deposit comes back within 24 or 48 hours. Five days seems absurd. The amount itself isn’t a big deal, but keeping me uninformed is. I’m highly disappointed and won’t stay here again. You shouldn’t either. It felt very dishonest, and I’m really disappointed. I could’ve stayed at Best Western for the same price or less. Their online rate was $77, but I was charged $100. Every hotel honors its online price. No one else stayed there that night, and I can see why. Don’t let this happen to you.

I called at the last minute needing somewhere to stay for a business meeting, and they really saved the day. I’ve dealt with awful receptionists before, but this was the total opposite. The room arrangement was lovely and even had the same coffee machine I use at home, so the place really felt like home. Great service and even better people. I’ll definitely stay again!

The owner lives on the premises and is friendly. The rooms were very nice, better than some hotels I’ve stayed at, and they even let us bring our cat. We stayed four days, got to know the place, and were really glad we chose it. Having a fridge and microwave in the room helped us save some money. I’d definitely stay again.

The room was very clean and the staff were super nice. The TV and Wi-Fi kept buffering, and the bed and pillows were pretty uncomfortable. Service and cleanliness were good, but the comfort could use some work.
