Americas Best Value Inn Addison Dallas

I've been here for my second week now, and from my experience it's a nice, clean, quiet place for travelers. My room was on the second floor, so I can't speak for the other rooms. The room was freshly painted, with a beautiful glass shower door, lots of lights, and a nice lamp. I was excited to find a Holy Bible in the room as a Christian. The staff are respectful, wonderful, and will come help if you ring the bell. The TV has a blue tint, with lots of sports networks and a few other cable channels. Apart from that, I've had a great experience here.

I used to pay $55 here a few years ago, and it was somewhat affordable. Since the company switched to Sonesta, reservations start at $75. That price change has made me stop coming. I won't pay the ridiculous rates they're charging now.

The rooms were immaculate, and when I needed extra towels, getting them was quick and easy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and you can tell they're putting effort into maintaining an older, somewhat dated property. There are plenty of shops and places to eat in the area. Still, I found a cockroach in my room on the third night. The rooms are small, but for the low price the stay was pretty good, hence the three stars.

The location is fabulous, in a pleasant, upscale neighborhood. I arrived at 3 a.m. after driving for hours from Dallas, and the first room I was given didn't feel comfortable. I was frustrated and needed rest before my 2 p.m. training in Carrollton. The overnight receptionist looked tired too. She initially said there were no rooms available because most were reserved, but after I kept asking, she found me another room where I felt comfortable and happy. She was wonderful, and I'm so grateful she helped me settle in and get ready for training. I extended my stay another night and left around 2 a.m. I never got to thank her, but I'll stay here again.
