Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Addison/Quorum Drive

The employees are very nice, the rooms are clean despite being a little dated, and the hotel sits in a good area with plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. But charging $20 to park is an outrageous rip-off. The lot is dimly lit and has no security, and the parking company even adds a convenience fee on top.

It was a horrible stay. The refrigerator has a two-hour timer, so you have to turn it on again every couple of hours. So much for keeping anything cold. The water pressure was poor, the bathroom sink wouldn't drain, and there was no complimentary water in the room. You have to ask for it downstairs. At least the ice machine worked.

All glory be to God! Walter Davis, the manager on duty, and the whole staff were so kind and thoughtful during my visit. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and cared for. The property smelled amazing, fresh and calming. It really felt like a home away from home, and I highly recommend this Courtyard by Marriott location. A true five-star experience. 🤍

This hotel isn't reliable for business travel when you need a confirmed reservation and a convenient location. Our trip was booked and prepaid about six months ahead, but when we arrived, we were told the reservation had been canceled and we'd been moved to a hotel farther away. We needed to be across the street from a conference, and the new place wasn't walkable, so we had to rent a car and spend about $540 unexpectedly. Management confirmed that people who aren't Marriott members can be bumped despite having a long-standing confirmed booking. We also heard at the conference that other attendees had been displaced from nearby hotels, which strongly suggested overbooking to make room for guests paying more. Marriott paid for two nights and offered a discount, but that didn't make up for the disruption and extra costs.
