Hilton Garden Inn Addison

I give this hotel three stars because the service was excellent, but the property feels significantly outdated. The worn tiles stood out in particular, and the rooms, hallways, and common spaces all have an old hotel feel. They weren't dirty, but the building and interiors clearly haven't been updated in a long time, and don't match what I'd expect from a Hilton-brand stay today. A renovation could bring the place up to four or even five stars, and I hope management invests in that. On my one-night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Addison, Chicago, my Gold Membership got me a complimentary early check-in, which I really appreciated. The receptionist working Friday morning, November 14th, was friendly, professional, and efficient. I didn't get her name, but she made the welcome smooth and deserves recognition.

The staff are great, and the location feels safe and quiet while still being close to everything. The beds are pretty good. Some facilities, like the pool and gym, are nice, though most rooms feel a bit dated. Renovations are underway, and they're fixing things.

After a long drive, it was great to have a full-service restaurant right at the hotel so we could get a decent meal without going out again. The food and beverage service really made our stay. The manager at the bar was exceptionally friendly and helpful both evening and morning, and the evening chef was super attentive. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and easy to find. We'll stay again!

I was sick in my room while dealing with cancer, and the hotel charged me a cleaning fee instead of showing compassion. The staff's lack of empathy and basic human decency was unbelievable. Guests facing health struggles shouldn't be treated this way. Awful experience. I'll never return, and strongly advise others to stay away.
