Hilton Garden Inn Dallas/Addison

The location was handy, on a side street off the main road so getting in and out didn't involve fighting traffic. Some restaurants were within walking distance. Staff were nice, though I didn't interact with them much; Maria from housekeeping was especially helpful. The hotel looked great at first, but the elevator made its age obvious and could use an update. Our room was okay, but I found hair on the sheets and wasn't sure they'd been changed, so I used my own. There's no complimentary breakfast, though they do have a pool and a very small gym.

Kierra greeted me at the front desk and was so helpful. She checked in during my stay to see how things were going and whether I needed anything. The day and night staff were friendly, and the hotel was clean. The lamps in the rooms could use electronic upgrades, and breakfast isn't free. Eight months after our first visit, we were back in room 334 and the sink still didn't work. On that earlier stay in April 2025, it was clogged and the drain wouldn't lift to let water out; then we were offered a room move or compensation, and chose compensation. This time, nobody offered compensation, so we moved a couple of rooms down. That room's bath drain didn't work either. Sheldon at the front desk said, “all I can do is keep moving you.” That's a huge inconvenience, and he also told us there'd be no manager or maintenance crew until Monday, though it was Saturday. Management is poor, and Sheldon was no help. This is how Hilton treats Gold and/or Diamond members, sending them from room to room to find a sink and bath that work? I'm deeply disappointed in Hilton. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, never again.

It feels very homey, with little decorations and Halloween touches around the long dining table. When I first walked in, it was like entering a giant living room. The hotel is tucked away at the back, with its own parking next to what looks like apartments. My double-bed room was very clean, smelled fresh, and had a beautiful view. You could tell they went the extra mile to get it ready.
