Ricky at the front desk handled our Super.com booking problems really well. He was professional and helpful through a difficult situation. The neighbourhood was quiet, with plenty of parking and some good bars and places to eat nearby. We liked Lanes and the Londoner. The hotel feels dated, though the front desk area was okay. Our room seemed clean apart from marks on the sheets, but it was very dark, and a funny smell came and went a couple of times after we returned.

For $60-$70 a night, this Holiday Inn in Addison beat Courtyard By Marriott for me, and I’d come back when we’re in Dallas again. It was my first stay at a Holiday Inn, and I was impressed. Check-in was easy, with a $40 deposit. The room wasn’t brand new, but it was clean and well organized, and they provided two complimentary bottles of water per stay. The bathroom deserves extra praise: it was clean, looked fancy, and had a backlit mirror. They also supplied DOVE shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and bar soap. I don’t know if other Holiday Inn locations are this good too.

Laura at the front desk was a treasure, so friendly and hardworking, and Linda made the best breakfast I’ve ever had, better than any expensive restaurant. The beds and rooms were comfortable and clean. This was my best stay at a Holiday Inn yet. I’ll be back. Skip the hotels downtown Dallas, this place is it! ❤️

Breakfast was a highlight for us. The food tasted delicious, and our waitress was so warm and welcoming. She was apparently the chief cook too. We’d recommend the hotel to others.

After an eight-hour drive from Louisiana to Dallas, we were exhausted and reported the room problems to the night clerk. We checked in around 2 a.m. overnight Friday into Saturday. He said he’d move us if another room opened up and mentioned asking the manager for a partial reimbursement. We still haven’t been made whole. The outside was well kept, and the lobby was fairly clean and nice, but the elevator floors were badly damaged and buckling. The elevator itself lurched as it moved, like it might get stuck between floors. Our non-smoking suite had a broken pullout sofa and a damaged, buckled mattress. There were lip prints and sticky stuff on the mirror outside the bathroom, and an opened used bar of soap in the bathroom tray. The floors hadn’t been mopped. The toilet and sink were clean, but there were a few pieces of pubic hair in the shower and black marks on the inside of the curtain. The room didn’t have an odor, but it didn’t smell fresh either.
