Motel 6 Addison, TX - Dallas

The location is convenient and nice, so I expected the motel to be better kept. The rooms are filthy. It seems they just make the bed and replace the towels, because the beds don’t feel fresh, and the floors and walls are dirty. I found hair and gnats throughout the rooms. During my stay I got locked in the bathroom, and management offered no compensation, just a move to a more expensive room. The place needs a remodel and thorough cleaning and sanitizing. I don’t recommend it.

The rooms are spacious, and I found some good deals through hotels.com. The service was excellent. Over my 3-night stay, I saw just one roach, on the wall in my room.

The location is great, the rooms are clean, the property is well maintained, and rates are affordable. It’s quiet too. But the rules feel unreasonable, and the front desk staff aren’t helpful. After staying for a certain length of time, guests have to check out, then wait a few days before checking back in because the motel isn’t an extended-stay property. I stayed there on and off for a while and was never offered a discount. One night after I’d been there for some time, the night manager wouldn’t let me into the lobby to make a new reservation because it was “closed.” It was 3 AM and freezing outside. Also, our double room only had towels for one person, so we had to ask for more.

It’s good value for the money, though the pillows aren’t comfortable, so I’d bring my own. If you’re booking several rooms, they won’t let one person do it all. Each room needs a valid ID in a different name, which I’ve never heard of before.
