I’m here with my children to visit my ailing parents. The staff are probably the nicest I’ve met at any hotel, but the rest has been disappointing. There’s at least one dog in the room next to ours, barking constantly, and I’ve occasionally seen a cat walking through the halls. I chose a hotel with breakfast to save money, but although it’s posted as running from 6 to 9, the food had already been taken away when we came down at 8:15. There weren’t many cars outside, so it didn’t look like breakfast had been busy. Our room smelled of cigarette smoke when we arrived. I wasn’t sure whether it came from people smoking outside or from the neighbor with the barking dog. Edit: it’s coming from the room right next to us. Apparently the policy doesn’t mean much if you live at the hotel or know people who work there.
