Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Aiken

I booked the room for an employee. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, but the rooms seemed run-down and not very clean. We couldn't book here again because the parking lot didn't feel safe, especially with our employees' expensive tools. It was often completely empty when you'd expect it to be busy. On arrival, a group of kids were driving a golf cart recklessly, and when he returned that evening, there was some kind of party. This was surprising given the very nice neighborhood across the street.

The location and hotel itself were good, but the manager and staff were the rudest I've encountered at any hotel. My colleagues and I have decided to avoid this property and other Marriott locations because of how we were treated. That's a shame, since we travel often for work.

Everything about my stay was great except the breakfast attendant who's been there lately. On my first stay, the attendant was excellent and made grits and oatmeal, but the current one doesn't. Where are the grits at breakfast? Ugh.

Our team stayed here in November and was charged for three extra rooms. Management acknowledged the billing error, but the charge still hasn't been refunded to our credit card. They haven't returned my calls or emails.
