Ainsworth Inn

I've traveled across the country for work for 46 years, and this is the worst hotel I've stayed in. The AC is far below standard, and the room's condition reminded me of something you might find in Tijuana. I know it's a small town with limited choices, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. BUYER BE AWARE!! 😈😈

The bed was soft, and the towels were clean and looked new. But after three tries to program my card, I could finally get into the room, and I couldn't get the TV working. Later, after I'd gone to bed, someone used a card to open my door. The chain was on, so they couldn't come in. I had to sleep with one eye open for the rest of the night. I told management, and they said they'd contact me after checking the security cameras to find out who it was. I still haven't heard whether it was a stranger or someone from management. The chain may have saved my life, or the intruder's. Someone was meant to be at the front desk at 6:00 a.m., but after three tries at the buzzer and 20 minutes, I left without breakfast. A very disappointing and scary place.

The room had stained sheets, carpets that hadn't been vacuumed, and a broken Lazy Boy type chair with a foot rest that wouldn't lift. There's no phone in the room to call the front desk, and there are no double door locks. The bathroom vent was so loud it sounded like an old car horn. You have to supply your own TV apps, like YouTube or Netflix, since they provide nothing. Even for an economy hotel, this place is terrible. Don't stay here.

The price was great, and the room had just been painted, with an updated bathroom. The young lady is doing all she can to make your stay the best it can be. I hope you make it. Better parking lot lighting and brighter paint on the building's outside might help down the road. All in all, it was fine.
