The desserts were the best I’ve ever had, though I wasn’t impressed by the food itself. I spent four days and three nights here for a staff retreat and thought the venue was amazing. I’d happily come back, but the wedding prices are too expensive.

We found a nearby venue that was perfect for us and moved on. The property here is nice, but the wedding requirements came with some odd policies. They also rarely answered the phone or returned our calls.

The grounds are beautiful, but dealing with the staff was exhausting. Calls were hard to get through, I was redirected to people who didn’t know the answers, and I even got hung up on. Questions weren’t answered in a timely way, and communication was poor throughout. We paid close to 30,000.00 for the venue and food. We have a receipt showing the final payment, yet months later they were still contacting me to say we owed more in service charges. Before and during the wedding, plenty went wrong. Their reception layout didn’t match the diagram we’d provided, so my family had to move everything themselves. There was no power for the speakers or vendors outside, and despite our request to save the top of the cake for our anniversary, the staff served it. The walkway landscaping was also badly overgrown. It took so much effort to get anything sorted. Our coordinator said this was the worst venue they’d ever worked with. The day only came together because family and friends stepped in to do the venue staff’s jobs. There are much better venues out there.

The room was another headache. I was told we had a complimentary one, but at check-in they couldn’t find us in the system. I spent an hour arguing just to get the key. Then, right before the ceremony, I had to argue with staff again because the wedding arch we’d paid for and agreed on hadn’t been set up. The wedding day was chaotic. Our dinner wasn’t what we ordered, the tables were in the wrong spots, and friends and family had to stop what they were doing to move the heavy tables. The walkway for the bride was overgrown and a trip hazard. The outlets we’d been told we could use didn’t work, which delayed the ceremony by 30 minutes. After we signed, it was almost impossible to get answers about our plans. Airlie made what should’ve been a special day very stressful. I do NOT recommend it unless you’re willing to deal with a lot of problems.
