Courtyard Akron Downtown

We had our wedding room block here this past weekend, and booked the king loft suite for ourselves. Everything was fantastic. They looked after our guests and bridal party, let people check in early and check out late, and even cleaned our room while we were away at the wedding so it was fresh when we got back. We also took photos around different parts of the hotel with our photographer. After the wedding, we went to the speakeasy and had a great time. Thank you so much!

I'm furious that I still have two days left in what feels like a scam of a hotel. I paid nearly $800 for three days because of the amenities, and so far this has been a huge disappointment. There was a disgusting brown stain around the base of the toilet. When we tried to get breakfast, they said most of the menu wasn't available because their food delivery hadn't arrived, and apparently only tomatoes were left. They also had no coffee and told us to use the coffee in our rooms. The theater is there, but you have to rent it. Everything you'd expect from a hotel seems to be missing, and they just tell you how far you have to drive to get it. I've never had this much inconvenience from this chain in all my years of travel. I'll be complaining.

The location is dreadful, and the shower setup is awful. The staff didn't refill the shower dispensers, so I was left with empty soap and shampoo containers. The heating and AC unit is so loud it sounds ready to blow up. Food here is a mistake. Go somewhere else and it'll be faster, cheaper, and less obviously frozen or badly heated. The service was the worst I've ever had at a hotel. Staff came across as shameless and uncaring, and the general manager should be embarrassed to have such an unprofessional team. Don't come here.

The only people who were nice were the maids. I was deciding between this hotel and the Sheraton and should have picked the Sheraton. I'm sending my complaint to Marriott. I have loyalty status with Marriott, and this is not a hotel I'd recommend to anyone who does. The person at the front desk during my May 11 check-in was absolutely disgusting. The service, attitudes, and rudeness after that seemed to spread through the whole place. If I owned it, I wouldn't want that person representing the brand. Judging by earlier comments, they don't seem to care.
