Hilton Garden Inn Akron

We stayed from 12-15-25 through 12-19-25 for personal matters, and we’ll be back. The hotel was beautiful and super clean, and the pool and weight room were great. The pool could’ve been warmer, but we made use of the hot tub too. Breakfast costs extra, and it was better than any hotel breakfast I’ve had, not just stale bagels and cereal. There’s also food at the hotel and around it. The location is perfect for getting to any part of Akron in a few minutes. I hadn’t expected much because it’s in Akron and on Market, but don’t let that put you off. Some people clearly haven’t stayed in a higher-end hotel. If you use the hot tub, you have to turn the jets on at the wall next to it. That’s easy, so ask if you’re unsure. The night staff were excellent and went out of their way to help us. I’ve forgotten their names, but one was a Black woman and the other a white man. We got locked out one day, and another time needed to print something. When the public printer wasn’t working right, he let us email the file to his work address and printed it for us. I wish I remembered their names so I could give them proper credit. The housekeeping manager, I think, was great too. He asked how our day was, checked whether we needed anything, and even helped carry things to our room. He deserves a raise and employee of the month. The contractors were very nice as well. There was construction on one floor, and one elevator was out of use. We still had the second elevator, though sometimes we had to take the stairs. I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to after this stay. Keep up the good work!

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn while my husband was having eye surgery, and I had a sinus infection. The staff checked on us and helped us feel comfortable during a difficult time. The food was fantastic, and the desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and I’d rate the bed a four out of five for comfort. Thanks for making things a little brighter for us.

We checked out early from our three-night booking and went somewhere else. We won’t stay here again when we’re in Akron. The rooms were small and dingy, and the staff seemed annoyed with us from the moment we arrived. The front desk people were miserable. They were rude and unhelpful even when we asked simple things, like where to fill a water bottle or whether we could get an extra blanket. One of the worst customer service experiences we’ve had at a hotel.

We found this hotel while traveling and liked the spacious, clean, really nice rooms. Thomas at reception answered all my questions when I called to book. He was kind and professional, and knew the answers. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re passing through.
