Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort & S

I had a very pleasant stay at the Renaissance and really enjoyed the scenery and atmosphere. The guys who greeted me outside were welcoming, and Serena checked me in. Billy, the chef who makes great omelettes, was very nice and cordial too. I got to speak with Serena again at checkout. Thanks for a lovely getaway.

We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was accommodating, including Austin in recreation, Ashley, our server at Brocks, and Princess at the front desk. Great experience with the staff!

The resort grounds are lovely, with the spa, poolside area, and golf course. Outside, the place looks like a mansion, and the room was spacious with both a shower and bathtub. I was greeted very politely at check-in during my business trip. It’s a beautiful resort on the outskirts of Birmingham. I just wish there were a microwave on the premises so guests could heat food or drinks. I understand why they might not put them in rooms because of fire safety rules. I also think the electric chargers should be available on a first-come-first-served basis.

I’ve stayed here several times for work, and it feels like a home away from home. The staff are great: Mr. Drake, Tim upfront, the Filipina woman at check-in, Blake, Andreas, and Ms. Leti are all sweet and quick with a smile. I think the check-in woman may be Princess, but I’m sorry if I’ve got that wrong. They always make the stay better. The amenities are great. I use the gym, with its excellent cardio and weight room and massage guns, as well as the restaurants, adult pool, and jacuzzi. The rooms are plush and spacious, with a balcony. I’d avoid booking a room facing the front of the hotel because it can get noisy. In summer those rooms also get hot from the sun all day, and going out on the balcony feels like melting. They recently added a $30 resort fee. I don’t mind it myself, but some companies won’t approve stays with resort fees. The hotel seemed much emptier after that, though it might just be the off season since I only stay on weekdays. This is my favorite stay in the Birmingham area.
