Mari at reception was welcoming and pleasant. The room was clean and nice, with clean sheets and towels and no critters. I didn’t feel fully safe because the door had no chain lock, so I couldn’t give five stars. Maybe they’ll have one next time. I’ll definitely be back, and would gladly rate it five stars if they add that.
The service here is no good. They don’t know how to do their jobs properly.
I keep coming back for the pool, which is always really clean and well cared for. The rooms are clean and smell nice every time, and I’ve never been disappointed with them. The management mostly leaves you alone, which I’m not sure is good or bad. There’s not much nearby and no nice view, but this is still my regular hotel when I want to get away from home.
I stayed at Texas Inn in Alamo, TX, where they advertise accessibility, but the tub had no grab bars or proper mat. I slipped and fell with nothing to hold on to. The service was bad, and they put a mat in the tub the next day, which was too late.
The outside looks beautiful, and the rooms are spacious and very clean. They have a microwave and fridge, and the air conditioning worked really well. The ceiling fans were a nice extra for comfort. Our memory foam bed sagged in the middle and needs replacing, though my brother’s bed was nice and firm. The pool area was clean, but the pool itself needs better upkeep and felt small for the number of guests. There’s no continental breakfast, which should mean a lower price.
