Satellite Inn

The stay went smoothly, from check-in to checkout. I booked online and only needed my ID, with no debit card or deposit, and checkout was just dropping off the key. The room was very cheap but clean and smelled clean when I entered. No pests, and the only noise was an occasional train. The staff were friendly. There was a soft bed with a nice Sherpa comforter, clean towels, a huge flat-screen TV, desk, large mirrors, and a rack for hanging clothes. The door locked and unlocked properly. I'd come back. Also, you can order Indian food from a whole menu. Not sure why no one mentions that!

We thought the price was decent for what we got. Once inside, the room was nice and had a fridge and microwave. It was across the street from caliche, whose custard was pretty good.

The screen was the biggest I've seen since 4 seasons resort, and the beds were comfortable. The usual east Indian hospitality, a safe location, and a great price. It's not the 4 seasons, but I'd give it a definite 4 out of five. With all the other buget options in the area, I'll keep choosing this place.

The street gets plenty of traffic, and a train went by twice overnight, but neither would stop me from coming back. The location is great for the price, with a Mexican restaurant right next door and an ice cream stand across the street. I was anxious after reading the bad reviews and nearly canceled our one-night stay. I'm glad we went. The place is dated, the towels are worn and rough, and the toilet bowl was stained, but the room itself felt very clean. Our room wasn't ready at 2 pm after a sold-out night. The only housekeeper was working hard, and the host kindly told us ours would be next to be cleaned.
