Albany Airport Inn

The photos on the booking app looked nothing like the place. Sheets, mattress, and floor were all stained, and there was a bad smell throughout the hotel. Stay away, sleep in your car, or pay a little more for somewhere nicer.

The stench stayed with me for a week afterward, almost as if it had worked its way into my body. I've never seen a more horrifying, disgusting place. It shouldn't exist. Dirt, rubbish, and cigarette butts started right at the hotel entrance, and the whole place smelled awful. The pictures don't match reality. Inside, everything was dusty or marked with strange stains, and it felt disgusting to touch anything. The room had no windows, so it smelled rotten and damp. There was a glass drug pipe under the bedding, left behind by someone. I don't understand how the sheets could have been changed without anyone seeing it, if they were changed at all. The bathroom had hair left in it, and the towels were an unnatural color, unclean, and smelled terrible. The pool barely deserved the name. We were too scared to eat breakfast, or even look at it. Never go, however tired you are. Less than one star.

This was my second stay. It isn't a three- or four-star hotel, and the rooms definitely aren't modern. Still, mine was clean, smelled nice, and had fresh sheets and towels. Every room has two beds, a microwave, refrigerator, TV, and alarm clock. It was comfortable and very reasonably priced, with a breakfast buffet, and it's only two blocks from the airport.

The room was a little dated but comfortable, and the reception area has been nicely renovated with a charming look. We had a pleasant stay overall, though basic toiletries were missing: no shampoo, hand soap, or shower gel. When we asked, they brought us only soap and body lotion. Room amenities could be better.
