Hilton Garden Inn Albany

Tony, the breakfast supervisor, was AMAZING. The front desk team was friendly and inspiring too: Ebony, Frank, and the night auditor with the Caribbean accent were dealing with Karens, making smokers leave, and sorting out financial and computer issues that made NO SENSE. I used to work as a front desk agent, so I noticed how much they had to handle. I hadn't stayed in Albany in a long time and had forgotten how nice people are here. I was pleasantly surprised by how well this hotel and its team showed the good side of Albany.

At the Hilton Garden Inn in Albany, GA, the warm welcome from the front desk made me feel at home right away. The upgraded rooms were cozy, and the whole stay was great. I’ll definitely be visiting again soon.

The whole place is clean and friendly, and Larona is the absolute best. I was making coffee when she came over and talked to me like we were old friends. I loved that, she has such a kind soul. She spoke that way to every customer she passed, not just me. I’ll be back, and I sure hope Larona is still here.

My stay on December 15 was frustrating from the start. At 3 o’clock my room wasn’t ready, so Sandra told me to leave and come back. I did, but at 4 my room still wasn’t ready. She offered a free drink voucher and upgraded my room, but I didn't get checked in until 4:30. When I got the bill, the “free drink” had been charged. I called the hotel, and a man said he’d speak with his manager and call me within 24 hours with an update. Less than an hour later I got an email showing the same price. Nobody called to explain anything, and that was that. The front desk agent lied to me, and the service felt unprofessional the whole time.
