Quality Inn & Suites Albany Corvallis

The room was clean and smelled nice, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good too. The woman who checked us out was much more pleasant than the one at check-in, who was rude and acted like we were an inconvenience. Also, the doors don’t close by themselves.

I was there for about five days. The breakfast was a really nice surprise, and the room was decent and clean. It was a bit out of the way, but I didn’t mind the extra drive.

The hot tub was what I was excited about, but it was honestly gross. There was dirty foam in it when I got in, and later, as I was getting out, I found the same kind of junk stuck to my arm from the wall. I checked the pool and saw debris all along the walls. My partner found some stuck to the ends of their hair after brushing it out. I had to scrub myself to get it off. I told an employee, and all they said was they’d have it cleaned. No apology or anything. It had clearly been caked on for days, and even after they cleaned it, the tub still wasn’t scrubbed properly. I was disgusted and disappointed. Also, the second-floor back door doesn’t lock, so anyone without a room card can get in.

There are better options in Albany, though this one was okay in some ways. The room wasn’t especially clean, but it wasn’t dirty either, and the man who checked us in was helpful and pleasant. He gave us the wrong price, though. We thought we’d paid one amount with a deposit on hold. A few days later, when the deposit hadn’t been returned, I called. The woman who answered was rude right away, said she didn’t know what I meant, then insisted there was no deposit and the amount we paid was the charge. When I explained what the man had told us, she got even snippier and said she couldn’t help. There’s a Holiday Inn Express across the street. I’d recommend staying there instead.
