A dependable, no-frills place for a longer stay. Weekly and monthly rates are affordable, and it has the basics: a bed, fridge, microwave, and free Wi-Fi. Parking is free, the location is convenient, and the staff are friendly and responsive. It was pleasantly clean for a budget motel, though there’s some normal wear.

The room had a handy fridge with a freezer and a microwave, and the pillows were the best motel ones I’ve slept on. We were there for three days for a wedding, and it worked well for us. Clean room, friendly staff, and coffee that was always hot and ready. It was a practical, low-cost stay. No breakfast, but I’d come back.

We got out of there as soon as we woke up. My daughter was so frightened by the room that she had a major meltdown, and neither of us slept much. We were in Corvallis for my son’s Oregon State University graduation, and the man who checked us in was extremely kind, but the room was another story. It smelled like cigarette smoke, and smoke kept coming in from the room below whenever someone lit up. There was stuff in the shower when we turned on the water, and the room was not very clean. I felt okay setting our bags down because the floors were vinyl, but I was scared to sleep in the beds. The pillows were cheap and flat, just one per person, and the comforters ought to be replaced with plain white ones. The temperature control was a strange switch in the bathroom connected to a unit under the sink. It also seemed like some people lived there. The motel has different wings, so I don’t get why smokers and nonsmokers aren’t placed in separate areas. They need to redo the place. We made it through and have stories to tell, but if I have to come back to Corvallis, I’ll find somewhere else. I’d avoid this motel if you can.

For a great price, we got a clean room, a friendly welcome, and a refreshing night of sleep.
