SpringHill Suites by Marriott Albany-Colonie

My room was spacious and really clean, and the hotel was quiet and conveniently close to my conference. At check-in Myasia came to my rescue and was very accommodating. Everyone, from the front desk to the breakfast crew, was helpful and friendly. 10/10, would recommend!

The location was super convenient, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious, with options for different dietary needs. Myasia Bass and her team made the place feel warm, comfortable, and welcoming. The room was clean and nicely appointed too.

The best part was the kind front desk women I spoke with at 11pm and again at 8am. But several things went wrong. The TV wouldn’t turn on, which was a problem with kids, and in the morning the shower barely dripped water. My husband had asked more than once about checkout because we’re members, and the front desk told us 4pm. Then at 1:10pm, while I was in a meeting, someone banged on the door, called housekeeping, and opened it despite the Do Not Disturb sign. They saw me at the desk, shut the door, banged again, and then called. I couldn’t leave while actively working. When I was finally excused, they said I needed to check out. I explained we’d been told 4pm the night before, but she said the paperwork showed now and told me to call. Someone didn’t do their job right.

The breakfast was very good as usual, with a nice variety and Starbucks coffee, and all the staff were friendly and easy to talk to. This was my second visit to this location this year. I slept poorly, which is unusual for me, because my mattress was worn down. I think some of the mattresses need replacing.
