Super 8 Albany

My wife switched rooms twice because both were completely dirty. After driving from California, she didn't get to sleep until after 1 a.m. A couple who seemed to be on drugs were screaming and fighting, then the cops showed up. She booked two nights but checked out the very next day. We've tried to get in touch about a refund because the stay was so awful, but haven't reached anyone. This seems to be a place with people doing drugs and other things. I wouldn't bring kids here; it isn't a family hotel.

We enjoyed our stay and plan to return to Super 8 in Albany soon. The room's refrigerator-freezer worked really well and was just what we needed. The pool was nice and clean, breakfast buffet excellent, and staff friendly. Highly recommend this motel.

I found and killed a bloody bedbug in our bed, then reported it. When I asked whether they'd had problems before, the woman said not for at least a year. She seemed very casual about it, as if it wasn't a big deal. They wouldn't refund the room, even though we'll have to fumigate all our belongings before bringing them into our home. 😳

The beds were quite soft with little support, and the pillows were very thick. Noise came through the adjoining-room doors easily, though thankfully our neighbors weren't loud. The pool was nicely designed, but its area wasn't very clean and there was a lot of gravel-like material in the courtyard. We stayed one night in June because it cost quite a bit less than other local options and didn't look too bad. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and the shower pressure was fantastic. Breakfast was basic but had good choices: scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, sausage, cereal, and a waffle maker. The coffee was pretty good.
