The bar was good, and I enjoyed the espresso martini the gloomy bartender served us. The hotel itself was average, with a pretty nice building and atmosphere. We were there for the weekend because my partner was competing in the NAGA championships. Our room did the job, though it was neither bad nor good. The temperature was fine the first night, but on the second night it got far too hot to sleep. There was no heater remote, and I woke up sweating at 4am. We tried the windows, but they were lowkey hard to open. The rugs also felt lowkey gross and dirty. It took a while for hot water to come through at the sink and shower, and our door code barely worked, so luckily my partner had the keys.

We stayed in room W1 for the Eric Church concert, and Matt and team made the experience so personal that it prompted my first hotel review. My wife, son, and I often stay at top hotels around the world, and I can't say enough good things about this stay. It was excellent.

This hotel works really well for hosting a meeting. The rooms have character and personality, so they don't feel like a bland, anonymous space. They can also provide food and snacks, which helps meeting attendees feel at home.

I've been to several events here, and the place works well for gatherings of all sizes, large or small. Having the hotel right there is a bonus. The atmosphere is phenomenal, and the staff are excellent.

It's easy to get around on foot from this central spot, with downtown, nearby restaurants, and several neighborhoods within walking distance. Being next to Washington Park also makes it a great place to set out for a morning run. This is a magical place. The accommodations, staff, and cocktails at Argus are top notch, and the attention to detail is fine.
