Cathy and Steve were such wonderful hosts, and I can’t say enough good things about our stay at the Bottger Mansion. We were in the Route 66 room on the main floor. It was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with clever decor. We especially loved the bright, cozy sitting room off the bedroom. They thought of all the little things, like bathrobes, a nightlight, and full-size lotion in the bathroom. There were delicious cookies beside a pitcher of water when we arrived. Breakfast was different and delicious every morning. The location, at the end of Old Town, was perfect for tourists. If we visit Albuquerque again, this is where we’ll stay. Thanks so much, Cathy and Steve.

We’re returning in November to visit our grandson, because we loved the Bottger Mansion so much. Kathy and Steve are welcoming, delightful hosts, and as a veteran, I especially appreciated that they both served their country. Our first-floor Route 66 Suite was well appointed, with an adjoining sitting room we really enjoyed. Breakfast in the East Courtyard was delicious, and the menu changed every day. Even in the August heat, the garden outside the front steps stayed relatively cool. We stayed August 7-12, 2025, and had a lovely time. The Mansion sits at the edge of Old Town, just a short walk from great shopping and restaurants, and it’s centrally placed for getting around Albuquerque. You can’t go wrong staying here in the Land of Enchantment.

The bed was comfortable, the food was great, and everything was labeled. The cookies waiting in our room were made from scratch, as was the yummy breakfast. Steve and Kathy communicate really well, and the location at the edge of Old Town is excellent, close to its restaurants. This was our second stay, and we plan to come back next year. We had to cancel an earlier visit at the very last minute, the morning of our stay. They kindly gave us a voucher to use anytime in the following year. They didn’t have to do that, so I wanted to mention it. Your mileage may vary, of course. This is the most organized B&B we’ve stayed in.

We only had one night in the Route 66 Room in December 2025, and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was beautifully styled and had a lovely, separate little sitting room. Our hosts, Steve and Kathy, made us an amazing breakfast. And don’t forget Socks and Ginger cat, who loved a pat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely B&B.

Parking and location were hard to beat. We could park for free in the highly coveted Old Town parking lot and easily walk to shops and restaurants. The highway was close too, so getting to state and national parks was easy. Kathy and Steve’s Albuquerque recommendations are well worth using to plan a trip. The breakfast every morning is incredible, and the menu is posted on the dining room TV each evening. Let them know about dietary needs ahead of time and they’ll accommodate them. I have a dairy allergy, and Kathy and Steve made sure I had a delicious breakfast every morning. The owners go to great lengths to make each stay special. Their co-hosts, Greycat and Socks, add a lovely touch. We got to pet and spend time with both cats every day, which made us miss our own furbabies a little less. This is the best accommodation I’ve stayed in anywhere in the country.
