Comfort Inn & Suites Alameda at Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Park

Stephanie, the manager, was incredibly kind and helpful. She made us feel welcome and shared restaurant ideas, things to do, and advice about the fiesta. We came for the balloon fiesta, and the higher-than-usual price was still acceptable. Our third-floor room on the west side faced north, with lots of balloons visible from the window. The fiesta was about a 1.7-mile walk, which spared us traffic and parking hassles. The hotel is an average midrange place, with clean, functional rooms. Breakfast had the usual cereals, eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, and similar options, and the coffee was excellent.

We found this a comfortable stop on our cross-country trip. Pets are allowed, and there were plenty of guests with them, including us, so keep that in mind if you have allergies. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. It’s a typical hotel that could use some maintenance, with paint patches, cracked caulking, and dings on doors, though none of that surprised us. It seems suitable for travelers or families, and the front desk was helpful. Signs warn not to leave valuables in your car, even though the parking lot looks safe.

We only stayed one night, but really liked the place. The rooms were clean, breakfast was excellent, and the indoor pool and jacuzzi were great. There were plenty of breakfast options, a nice way to start the day.

This was our third stay here, and the visit left me really disappointed. I left a dress and a jersey in the closet. When I realized the next day, I called the front desk right away. The person there asked me to call back in a couple of hours, once the room maids had come to work. When I called again, he said no one had seen the items in the closet and nothing had been handed in to the manager. Very sad. Our other stays have all been wonderful.
