Hampton Inn & Suites Albuquerque-Coors Road

Virginia, the breakfast cook, deserves a shout out. She was so friendly and on top of keeping everything stocked, and went around asking guests if they needed anything. I've traveled a lot and only stay at Hilton's, and her service was the best I've come across. This is one of the friendliest Hamptons I've stayed at. Hilton family, I hope you keep her and treat her right. Good employees are hard to find!

The staff were great, and the hotel's condition wasn't their fault. Still, it's a dump, despite supposedly being in the middle of a remodel. I saw no sign of that work. Bathroom tile was loose, wallpaper was peeling, and the floor was nasty. The shower pressure changed when someone in another room used the restroom, and the area felt pretty sketchy. I'm a Hilton Honors member and trusted Hampton Inn to be okay, but I wouldn't stay again even for free.

The location was convenient and the bed was comfortable, but the pillows were pretty lumpy. The toilet kept running until I fixed it twice. The shower never got hot, and the floor squeaked loudly and shifted underfoot, making me think for a moment it might fall through. The heat and AC were inconsistent, the wall thermostat was dead, and I had to keep fiddling with the window unit. Breakfast flavors seemed off, and the juices tasted incredibly watered down.

The double queen suite cost in the $200 range after taxes and fees, and didn't feel like good value. It was a dated, basic hotel on the lower end. The surfaces looked clean, but it didn't feel clean: our kid's feet got gross from the carpet. There was mildew in the shower areas and tile was coming off the wall around the toilet. Everything was just okay, with poor upkeep and cleaning that kept it from feeling like a four-star place. Not awful, not great. I'd only stay again if I couldn't find another available option. That's the fairest answer I can give.
