Right across from UNM, with plenty of restaurants and clubs next door, the location was a real highlight. The rooms were small and dated, but comfortable enough. I did find a lot of hairs woven into the bed sheet, which was unsettling. They may have been dog hairs and the sheets could still have been clean, but I couldn't bring myself to sleep under that one. I probably should've called for fresh sheets, since the staff were very friendly and helpful and likely would've brought some. Great location and service, though cleanliness was a letdown.

I was nine months pregnant when I stayed here in July 2011, and I went into labor on the night of July 4th. The paramedics took us to the hospital, where I had my baby girl. When we got back, the motel staff had kept our things safe and treated us with so much kindness and love. They were some of the sweetest people I've ever met. God bless them all. I love y'all.

My daughter and I went in April 2015 because of the ratings here, and the motel ended up making the trip unforgettable. The room was huge, with a great 1950s feel, and the young people running the place were warm and down to earth. We first arrived at the office and found a college study group there. It became our best motel stay, and now our family is planning another vacation just so we can stay here again.

Even though it's just off a busy, popular street, the place was tucked away enough for a quiet, comfortable night's sleep. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, and the staff were kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Clubs and restaurants along old Route 66 are an easy walk, and public transit is easy to reach too.

We planned and paid for a seven-day stay. Management seemed nice when we arrived, and for the first two days we thought our symptoms were seasonal allergies. By day three we were waking up groggy and disoriented, with headaches and severe nausea. I looked into possible causes and was shocked to conclude it might be mold exposure. There was a small gap in the shower wall, and water could be heard dripping when the shower was running and for a little while after it was turned off. I raised the concern with the manager and asked at least to move rooms, since they said there were no refunds. I was brushed off and treated like I was imagining things.
