What stood out most was the staff. From the front desk to the room staff, everyone was engaged, friendly, and happy to have a real conversation. I’ve stayed at five-star resorts that couldn’t match that warmth and hospitality. You can’t fake that, and it’s what made the place feel like home. I was at Hotel Albuquerque for a conference and left more impressed than I expected. The property has some age, but that gives it character and history that newer hotels don’t have. The room was comfortable and clean, the location was excellent, and the conference banquet food surprised me in a good way.

The restaurant food was good and staff were generally friendly, but I wouldn’t call this a four-star hotel by reasonable standards. It’s quite old and needs updates. My one-night junior suite was little better than an average room, yet the total came to just over $338, including amenity and marketing fees I hadn’t expected. Only one elevator works, and apparently it’s been that way for some time. The water was hot, but the pressure was terrible. The bar opens only two or three nights a week. If you’re passing through, there are much better options and values around town.

My wife and I live in the northeast heights and are expecting our second child, so we booked a weekend here for a short baby moon. It was an incredible little getaway, and the staff took great care of us. We got massages at the Spa at Chaco, wandered around Sawmill Market, had breakfast at Garduños, and walked over to Seasons for an excellent dinner. We’ll be back soon!

The hotel has charm, the staff are very friendly, and the location is excellent. We stayed one night. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and I liked that the floors weren’t carpeted. It’s dog-friendly, too. Room service arrived quickly and the food was good. Some parts of the room and the elevators need updating, though. I don’t think it qualifies as a four-star hotel.

Spending New Year’s Eve here was amazing and worth every penny. I got an upgrade, which was truly awesome, and Mr.Wells the GM sent an amenity up to my room, a real treat. Cassandra and Lainey greeted me warmly when I arrived. Later, after I came back from sawmill market, JT and Anthony checked in with me and made me feel even more at home. I’ll be back soon. Nice work, guys! Sorry this review took a while, it’s been a busy start to 2026.
